The main building

  The main building, as is typical of the area, is a small farm, not a sumptuous rustic mansion, as can often be found in “classic” Tuscany – welcoming in its simple structure, with a terrace and garden, hosting the administrative office as well as the cellar. Barrels are kept in a structure deep in the hillside. New buildings on the estate, along with ancient structures, can be found scattered among the estate parcels. The vineyards, are in a sense, embracing the full character of this area, inland Maremma.    

TODAY AND TOMORROW

Its culture, history, nature, scenery, architecture and art, its culinary tradition as well as its heritage. New is blended with the antique, and all this with respect. In the empty farmhouses charming apartments have been furnished to welcome guests and new buildings are planned in which to install modern equipment. Under a cultural and scientific perspective, Ampeleia‘s goal is to continue the local heritage through exhibitions, concerts and co-operation with research bodies.
