The “Meleta”

  The estate was first acquired by Swiss people, who refurbished the old farm abandoned since the sixties, transforming this in a rural estate breeding sheep and pigeons, as well as introducing vine plants. During its last years the estate Meleta (from “meleto” – field of apple trees) made a name for itself through its wines.

The mystery and fascination of the surrounding area manifests itself to those who go on foot. All the richness of both flora and fauna can be admired taking long walks through the many small paths among Ampeleia’s vineyards. These take you from Roccatederighi to Roccastrada, a larger village 20km away.
