Roccatederighi

  Ampeleia’s vineyards are located near the village of Roccatederighi, located on rocky mountains, called 'massi'. From the highest peak of this volcanic terrace, one can enjoy an extraordinary view of the valleys below: from the forests of chestnut trees on the high peaks down to golden grain fields dotted with spots of olive trees on large planes. In the middle, gentle hillsides with low vegetation as if to downplay the stark contrast. These paths brings down to a large 'garden', cultivated with olives, fruit and vegetables.    

  The grey and silvery tree tops of olive trees surmount the picture of this hillside view, party cultivated and partly wild. To this, as companions, lines of dark green vineyards enrich this already complex cultural picture, donating to it new natural elements. During clear and often cold winter days, on the horizon you can glimpse the sea, distant only 30km, dotted by the islands of the Tuscan archipelagos. Like the landscape , the weather and the climate between the sea and the mountains is also impetuous.
