Seven varieties

GRENACHE, CARIGNANO, MOURVEDRE ...

  Five others varieties are at the core of Ampeleia, contributing with the best of their soul. They provide structure to the wine, thank to the Grenache – known in Sardinia with the name of Cannonau – or on the contrary, they enrich its aromas of fruits, this through the Carignan and Mourvedre.

... ALICANTE AND MARSELLANE

In particular the last one, is fascinating due to it’s wild and gamey scents. As the fifth variety,Alicante, intense in colour, provides the deep, powerful yet bright red colour of Ampeleia. Last but not least the seventh grapes is Marsellane, a rare hibrid between Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon.
