Ampeleia di Mezzo is a site divided in two main blocks each with their own identity, yet both located on an altitude between 280 and 350 m above sea level. Distant from each other nearly 20 km, the two sites of Ampeleia di Mezzo have a total area of 50 ha, of which only 15 planted with varietals such as Sangiovese, Carignan, Grenache and Alicante. The parcels known as Vigneti di Sassoforte can be found on the foothills of the village called Sassofortino; these are hidden as well as protected, by cork and myrtles trees.
