Ampeleia di Sopra is the largest of all the areas for a total of 80 ha of which only 15 planted with vines. Located at an altitude in between 450 and 600m above sea level, this parcel is mainly planted with Cabernet Franc. Its diverse exposures, soils and climate, meeting point for inland and sea breezes, make this area a unique place. Chestnuts are dominant in all the forests. Ampeleia di Sopra is located only 1,5 km from the mediaeval Roccatederighi.
