CLIMATE

  The theatre play of nature, can be dramatic in the meeting point of sea and land: rain and thunder storms occur as a result of the encounter between sea and inland winds. The breezes keep the grapes healthy by natural ventilation. Fogs and dry nights lengthen the ripening period, thus allowing the grapes to develop their full character.    

TEMPERATURE

  Winters, some nights reaching temperatures of -15° C, are unusually rigid for the latitude, and snowfalls are frequent. Yet the white mantel often melts in a day. Storms with heavy rain in the cooler season provide the natural water reserve, which helps the plants during the dry summers. The average temperature is around +15° C. In between parcels, the decrease of temperature is 1 Celsius every 100 m, and varies consequently on each precise location.
