Today the estate is located between an altitude gap of 600 and 200m above sea level with 50 ha planted of Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese and other 5 mediterranean grape varieties.
And so all the work starts in the vineyards, ending then inside the bottle through the ideal fusion of all these variables.
Today the hectares are nearly 50, planted with Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese, together with 5 other varietals. The path was ready for a wine with a character which is deeply rooted in this territory, in the varietal garden – Ampeleia. Thus the name is explained: from ancient greek ( “ampelos” as grape ) with an Italianised sound, Ampeleia.
