If you are looking for an experience away from the modern world, then this is the right place.

We have Wi-Fi, but apart from that you will feel unplugged from everything. Simona and Valentina are there for those who wish to learn more. Follow them through woods and vineyards, between barrels and tanks, to learn absolutely everything there is to know about how our wine is made.

Francesco and Lucia are there for those who just want to sit and relax with a glass in their hand. There are nine wines to taste any enjoy, and a story for each view of the panorama. From here you can see the Island of Giglio, followed by Elba and even Corsica. Some may be lucky enough to come across our cows, or even catch sight of our vigneron, Marco. But everyone will have something new to take home: a story that is different from the usual or a bottle of wine that is better than usual.

A relaxing and stimulating break, during which we will introduce you to Ampeleia.

We will accompany you on a short walk amongst the vineyards, telling you who we are and how we work while you sit under a large oak tree, from where you can take in the view over the Maremma hills to the sea below. After a short visit to the cellar, we will taste five of our wines:  Bianco di Ampeleia, Rosato di Ampeleia, Unlitro, Kepos and Ampeleia.

Discovery

With this experience you can taste all our wines* and learn a great deal about us. We will walk through the oldest Cabernet Franc vineyards, also visiting the “Vigna dell’Asina”, which produces the grapes for our monovarietal wine. We will visit the cellar to find out how our wines are created and aged. There will be tastings of: Bianco di Ampeleia, Rosato di Ampeleia, Unlitro, Kepos, Alicante, Carignano, Cabernet Franc and Ampeleia.

After the walk through the vineyards, our winemaker Marco Tait will open the cellar doors for tastings directly from the tanks. Amid fermentations, musts and ageing wines, you will have the chance to chat to him and ask any questions. We will then taste all the wines of the current vintages, relaxing at the table and enjoyably discovering how the wine from the tanks became bottled wine. Advance bookings only.

If you don’t have time for a complete tour but simply wish to pass through, please call us. Our shop, which sells our wines and also our agricultural products, such as flour, pici and tagliatelle made with our Verna wheat, extra virgin olive oil and honey, is open from 9 am till 4 pm.
